Hazardous Waste Days
If you wish to dispose of hazardous household waste.
You will need to book a slot to attend the household hazardous waste days. Bookings will open eight days before each event. You can either book online or call 0344 800 8020.

Uncontested Election
Friday 17 October was the deadline for Parish Councillor vacancy nominations & we’ve received notification from Electoral Services that the election is uncontested.
The successful candidates become members with immediate effect.

Election of Parish Councillors
Following requests for an election, signed by ten local electors from the electoral area, received in writing by The Returning Officer, a By-election is to be held for four Parish Councillors for Barnham Broom Parish Council.

There is a further vacancy on Barnham Broom Parish Council.
As per the notice, if The Returning Officer receives a request for an election in writing, signed by ten local electors from the electoral area, not later than 17/10/2025, then a By-election will be called.
If not, the vacancy will be able to be filled by Co-option (at a future meeting).

With regard to the cost of a By-election, Electoral Services have provided a breakdown of expected costs below. These are approximate figures, based on recent by-elections of a similar size. However, prices will vary depending on the up-to-date hire fee for the polling station, whether or not the parish council chooses to send polling cards, how many postal votes are returned (etc).
